Michael Mansouri Chairman and CEO
Mansouri has a long history of successful value creation for shareholders. As Chairman, President and CEO of iPass, Inc., he led the global roaming and security company, raised $75M, grew the company to profitability which resulted in a successful $1.8 billion exit in 2003 (NASDQ:IPAS). As President and CEO of OmniTrust Security Systems, a leader in content security, he grew and sold the company to Heisei Denden of Japan in 2005. Mansouri served as Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Avalon Global Solutions, a provider of managed mobility and cybersecurity services. He grew the company through partnerships and acquisitions until its sale in 2011 to WidePoint Corporation and served as CEO through 2013. He then served as CEO of a game-changing malware isolation technology, which merged with the identity and access management division of Aurionpro in 2016 to form Cyberinc. Mansouri served as the CEO of Cyberinc through 2017 during his transition.
Ed Basart Chief Strategy Officer and Founder
Before InSpeed, Ed founded ShoreTel (NASDAQ: SHOR), was its first CEO and VP of Engineering, and took the company public in 2007. ShoreTel created the Enterprise IP-telephony market, replacing silos of proprietary gear with software running on a PC. Prior to ShoreTel, Ed co-founded Network Computing Devices (NASDAQ: NCDI) and was its CTO when it went public.
Ed holds many patents in IP-telephony and networking.
Doug Klein Chief Product Officer
Doug is an experienced operations, product and business development executive. As Co-Founder of Network Computing Devices (NASDAQ: NCDI), he took it public, and as COO of NuvoMedia (NASDAQ: GMST), he sold it to Gemstar.
Prior to InSpeed, Doug was Managing Partner at Wampumm, VP of Technology Planning and Integration at Barnes & Noble, Founder and CEO of LightPole, CTO of Vernier Networks and VP of Business Development at Packet Design.
Mike Jordan Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Engineering
Mike Jordan has broad experience in software development, IT operations and information security spanning 49 years. Previously, Mike was VP of Engineering at PlaceWare (NASDAQ: MSFT), Cengage Learning, 3DO and Network Computing Devices (NASDAQ:NCDI), and Director of Software at Ridge Computers.
Mike is the former President of the ISACA, Silicon Valley Chapter. He has been a consultant to numerous financial services firms, HIPAA-covered entities and others, wherein he developed Information Security Management Systems, performed risk analysis, defined compensating controls and assessed the results of clients’ information security programs.
Ken VanDerHorst Vice President of Sales
Ken brings over four decades of sales and sales leadership experience to InSpeed. During his career, he has held sales leadership roles with firms such as Motorola Communications, DataPoint, Cable & Wireless, Western Digital Corp., and WidePoint Corp. Like others on the management team, Ken is a serial entrepreneur founding or co-founding a networking VAR, an MSP that provides telecom management services and most recently a cyber security end-point management firm.
Barry Davis Vice President, Business Operations
Barry is an expert at creating and improving operational processes and systems that simplify internal functions and efficiently scale businesses. Before joining InSpeed, Barry was VP of New Product Introduction at VMware (NYSE: VMW) driving cross-functional project teams to successfully launch new products. Prior to VMware, he was Director of Customer Service at Airespace (NASDAQ: CSCO). As Director of Service Programs at NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP), he ran partner programs, business planning & metrics, new product introduction and technical education groups. While at Network Computing Devices (NASDAQ: NCDI), Barry was the VP of Service and Support.
Kim Dimick Vice President, Solution Services
Kim is an experienced networking and solutions engineering professional with over 40 years of industry knowledge, spanning from the early days of telephony through to the latest in networking technology.
Prior to InSpeed, Kim was a Senior Systems Engineering Manager at Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) , VP Technical Services at Packet Design, Director of Technical Services at Precept Software (NASDAQ: CSCO) and Software Services Program Manager at Network Computing Devices (NASDAQ: NCDI).
Mark Mellis Vice President, Security
Mark is an Information Security Specialist with broad experience in Security, Networking, and Operations.
Prior to joining InSpeed, Mark served as Information Security Officer for Stanford University and the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He has more than fifteen years consulting experience with a broad spectrum of clients, more than fifty of whom are on the the Fortune 500. Before focusing on Information Security, he was a system software developer at NCD (NASDAQ: NCDI) and other Silicon Valley startups.
Janak Pathak Executive Vice President, Business Development, Asia Pacific
Janak is a veteran of ten start-ups in Silicon Valley. He has over 40 years of sales and marketing experience. He has brought to fruition two IPs and six mergers and acquisitions. At Network Computing Devices (the first successful X terminal company), he evangelized the first concepts of network computing and cloud computing, while managing a sales staff of a hundred and generating $150 million in revenue. As CEO of a smart SAN startup, he led the successful exit to a public SAN company. He was VP of Sales of the first wireless networking company and he led international sales development at Packet Design, a wide area MPLS network startup. While VP Of Sales at an end-to- end security company (NeoAccel), it was sold to VMware. Janak excels in building initial revenue streams and worldwide distribution channels.
Sandra Hill Chief Marketing Officer
A 30-year veteran of the IT and UC industries, Sandra has a passion for building growth strategies for channel partners. Initially working a variety of roles in programming, marketing and sales, she found she had a knack for helping partners position their businesses to meet market challenges. After her first 10 years working in a variety of roles for a major California reseller, she took the leap and started her own reseller organization, which she owned for 15 years. After selling her share of the business, she joined ShoreTel to establish their reseller channel and to be part of the team that took the company public in 2007. Sandra added videoconferencing and distribution management to her expertise as the Senior Director of Channels and Distribution at LifeSize, a division of Logitech. She took that expertise further with her most recent position with Mitel Networks as VP of Channels, Distribution and Sales Strategy. She has been awarded CRN’s 5-Star Partner Program, Channel Chief Award, Women of the Channel and Women in the IT Channel Ecosystem.
Karie Underwood Director, Channel Programs
Karie is an accomplished channel partner manager with decades of experience in account management. Prior to joining InSpeed, Karie directed business development and managed channel partners for the SaaS start-up, The Code Works Inc. Karie’s accomplishment in sales brought about the company being acquired by one of the largest recruiting software automation companies. Prior to that, she was co-owner and former VP of Sales and Marketing for a national maternity-wear line. She was also responsible for launching the women’s apparel program for Nordstrom’s Direct Sales Division. In her spare time, she founded a local chapter of the National League of Young Men, a non-profit organization that develops youth into community leaders. She currently serves as the chapter’s CEO & President.
